TIMMI Queue Management directs patients to the right door. Nursing staff can see the real-time queue situation and can invite waiting patients into the room or service point. It also typically includes a display device in the waiting area, where customers can see where they are called by their appointment number.

Queue Management Software is often used in combination with TIMMI Reservation Software and TIMMI Self-Service Kiosk. The software displays the queue status according to the customers' registrations and invites them to the right service points. It also typically includes a display device in the waiting area where customers can see where they will be called by their service number.

Queue Management Software can be used to handle queues for both appointment-based and non-appointment-based services. To display appointment-based services on the queue screen, an integration between the TIMMI system and the system containing the client's appointment data (e.g. electronic health record) is required.

In practice, the system places the customer in the correct queue in the TIMMI Queue Management Software based on the appointment information from the electronic health record system. When registering at the TIMMI Self-service kiosk, the customer receives a number and instructions on how to find the waiting room. TIMMI Info Displays in the lobbies then directs the customer to the correct room. Nursing staff can see when the client has checked in and invite the client in by pushing a button in the TIMMI Queue Management Software. The invitation is displayed on the info display, the doorway display, or both.

Information displays can be used, for example, to show invitations to a reception or to display a list of nursing staff and their rooms.
